If there is one thing I love, it’s a good margarita. But, sometimes this whole eating clean thing can have you missing after work drinks with co-workers and friends. No one should have to give up happy hour, even if they are trying to watch their weight. It’s okay to have a drink here and there without feeling guilty.
I was very excited when I came across this amazingly delicious Hacienda Margarita from Patrón Tequila. It is a simple, refreshing, yet beautifully crafted cocktail that won’t sabotage your healthy eating efforts.
Discovering this margarita lead me finding a great collection of Margarita recipes on the Patrón website that are sweetened with agave instead of sugar to keep them “skinny friendly.” The ingredients are simple, fresh and don’t involve sugar bomb, high-calorie mixes that will cause a major hangover.
There are so many different varieties of margaritas, but I’m slightly biased toward simplicity and great tasting drinks! And, I’m sure once you try the Hacienda, you’ll see why this one is a winner. It’s an ode to the classic favorite you already love with the Patrón Citrónge Orange adding a complementing, refreshing citrus twist. The cool thing about this margarita is that it is part of Patrón’s search for “2016’s Margarita of the Year.” With seven competing margaritas, after you taste this one, you’ll see why this is a winner.
