There’s nothing better than a lazy, booze-filled, mouthwatering weekend brunch after a night of bad decisions.
Brunch is serious business in Portland. There are plenty of options in this foodie town, that deciding on where to brunch is the hardest decision you’ll be making in the morning. So, how can you possibly pick where to eat this weekend? Start here, with 7 picks on Portland’s Best Neighborhood brunch spots.
Tasty n Alder (Southwest Portland, Downtown)
You haven’t been to Portland without a visit to Tasty n Alder. Sure, there might be a wait out the door, but that hour wait is all well worth it. Order one of the many Bloody Mary offerings or a fizzy morning cocktail, along with the chocolate potato donuts, French toast with blueberry syrup, potatoes bravas, and Radicchio salad with lardon. You won’t be disappointed!
Olympia Provisions Northwest (Northwest)
Olympia Provisions Northwest in Northwest Portland is more than just a charcuterie board kinda place. The Eggs Benedict are the brunch thing to order here. Get them with smoked trout, ham or steak, washed down with a Bloody Mary that’s topped with cured meat. (So, meaty!) This place does brunch right!
Urban Farmer (Northwest, Downtown)
Located in Downtown inside The Nine’s Hotel, Urban Farmer is serving up some of the best Eggs Benedict in town, and an out of this world rotating Bloody Mary bar.
Zell’s Cafe (Southeast, Belmont)
The scones that come out first during brunch are the best scones I’ve ever had at Zell’s Cafe. They even offer gluten-free banana muffins for those with a gluten intolerance, which are delicious. Order one of the many omelet’s offered, a frittata, or the chorizo omelet and mimosa.
Broder Nord (Northeast)
A Scandinavian delight. Broder Nord offers up an amazing brunch. Order the baked eggs and a glass of aquavit, and you’ll love that brunch is served until 3pm!
Ataula (Northwest, Alphabet District)
Ataula on NW 23rd’s serves up a touch of Spain brunch. The tortilla de chorizo or la torrada for brunch with their Xuixos de Crema is a great to start, but don’t forget to try the Sunday paella croquetas.
Tasty n Alder (Northeast, Mississipi)
And, because you already visited Tasty n Alder, pay a visit to SE Portland and try Tasty n Son’s Similar menu as their sister restaurant in the Pearl, Tasty n Sons. Order Shakshuka with sausage, chocolate potato donut, Erin’s sweet biscuits, Moroccan chicken hash and potatoes bravas and an appetite!
