Almost weekly, I get a DM or email from a health and wellness brand asking to try their product. And, to be honest, I’m always a bit sceptical. But every now and then, after I do my research and try a product for a minimum of 30-days, I’ll make a switch and share about it. That’s what happened with this evergreen-emerald-hued pill called Seed, the Daily Synbiotic.
As the new year is approaching, it’s only natural that we’ll want to set the year right by adjusting our habits. But before your buy everything you see as you scroll through Instagram or TikTok, I’m sharing with you my honest review of Seed Daily Synbiotic, that way you can decide if it’s worth the insta-hype.
When it comes to probiotics, let’s face it, there are so many out there on the market that it’s hard t pick “the right one.” I was exposed to the concept of the microbiome pretty early and always heard how gut health was so important. Your microbiome is connected to way more than just your immune system or digestive tract. It’s also linked to skin, heart, and brain health.
Being intolerant to gluten and dairy, soy, and egg allergy, I also needed an allergen-free one in addition to needing a probiotic that would be gentle on my stomach. I have tried multiple probiotics over the years ranging from super pricey ones to relatively inexpensive probiotics and hadn’t found one I loved enough to keep ordering. To be frank, I never noticed a difference.
My stomach/body is pretty high-maintenance when it comes to any supplement. For me, it’s a challenge regarding vitamins, probiotics, and just about anything else.
Review of Seed Probiotic: First Impressions
Seed is a new probiotic/prebiotic that caught my eye for a few reasons: the science behind the formulation, the ingredients, and if I’m being totally honest, the packaging. It’s gorgeous! Not to mention that Seed has thought a lot about sustainability in packaging, too, with its recyclable boxes and reusable emerald green containers.
If you aren’t familiar, Seed is $49.99 a month, and they offer a 30-day risk-free guarantee. You can also save 15% off your first month with coupon code VALERIEA.
I’ve been taking it for almost two years now, so I wanted to give you my honest take on this prebiotic and probiotic subscription, what you should expect, and if I think it’s worth it.
My Experience
I started incorporating the emerald green capsules into my morning routine, taking them down with a full glass of water two hours after waking up. My body adjusted quickly and smoothly. After just a few days, I noticed I was already waking up without bloating or without any other digestive issues.
After a week of taking Seed every night and my stomach looks flat, I felt refreshed and amazing, regardless of what I’ve eaten the night before. My gut felt calm and my digestion is more regular than ever.
The benefits became more and more obvious over the course of a month. Without changing any other habits, I noticed that my skin had a new glowy look to it, and I woke up so energized that my black coffee addiction became a one-cup0of-coffee day (vs. 5!) I even noticed a significant uptick in my mood and stress tolerance.
Gut Health: The Science Behind Seed’s Daily Synbiotic
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of it all, it’s important to understand what is in the Daily Synbiotic, because it’s not just a probiotic but a prebiotic as well.
According to Seed, the Daily Synbiotic is “the first probiotic to take a ‘microbe-systems approach’ with clinically-studied, strain-specific benefits beyond digestive health, including cardiovascular health, dermatological health, gut immune function, gut barrier integrity, and micronutrient synthesis.”
Each dose (two small capsules) combines 24 clinically studied, naturally-occurring probiotic strains that are not found in yogurt, most supplements, or fermented foods.
While other probiotics incorporate strains from animals or soil, Seed only selects strains that are naturally occurring in the human body. The benefits are validated by 17+ strain-specific clinical studies and Seed’s own clinical research.
Most impressive is the way Seed keeps the probiotic strains alive and active. Bacteria are sensitive to light, temperature, and moisture, meaning most hardly survive the trip from manufacturer to store shelf, much less your digestive process. Seed puts its probiotics inside a vegan capsule and inside another prebiotic outer capsule, 2-in-1 nested capsule technology to ensure that bacteria stay alive and viable to your colon, where their work begins. Because of this, the Daily Synbiotic is shelf-stable for 18 months and requires no refrigeration.
HERE ARE THE BASICS OF THIS FORMULATION:
The Daily Synbiotic combines clinically-verified, naturally-occurring probiotic strains (not found in yoghurt, most supplements, or fermented foods and beverages) with a new class of patented plant-based, non-fermenting prebiotics sourced from Indian pomegranate and Scandinavian chaga mushroom and pine bark.
It’s the first to take a Microbe-Systems Approach with strain-specific benefits beyond digestive health, including heart health, skin health, gut immune function, reproductive health, gut barrier integrity, and oxidative stress.
The Daily Synbiotic is free from: Dairy • Gluten • Soy • GMOs • Binders • Fillers • Flowing Agents • Excipients • Preservatives • All 12 classes of allergens defined by (EFSA) – European Food and Safety Authority
It adheres to the following diets: Vegan • Vegetarian • Ketogenic

It’s also good to note that a few years ago in May of 2020, Seed made a minor update to the prebiotic blend in the Daily Synbiotic. Scandinavian chaga and pine bark were removed to allow for a higher dose of the primary prebiotic, punicalagin. I didn’t notice a difference in how my gut felt after that change.
Is Seed Probiotic Worth It?
Yes, Seed is worth the money ($49.99 per month)! I was skeptical but hopeful when I started and completely blown away by the end of my one-month trial. I think it is safe to say I highly recommend giving Seed a try as I’ve been a subscriber for almost two years and have never felt better!
